I’ve realized over the past couple of years how many of my readers are also writers. Some are hobbyists while others take their writing more seriously. I’ve learned a lot along my journey of writing, and I’d like to share some of those experiences and discoveries with you. My goal is to post once a week. On Wednesdays, obviously. Feel free to post a comment or shoot me an email if you have a particular topic you’d like to discuss.
We’ve been talking a lot about setting goals for the New Year. One goal I try to live by is to write every single day. Some days I crank out more—a two-thousand plus word chapter—while other days I only manage a couple of paragraphs. Real life gets in the way sometimes. And that’s okay. Our responsibilities to our families and homes come first. But adhering to this routine keeps my characters at the forefront of my mind. And that is key for me. When I stray from my writing for any length of time, I find it difficult to find my way back.
What goals do you set for your writing?
