So . . . what’s TheSkimm got to do with The Woman in Cabin 10? They featured it in their August 5 issue.
Here’s what they had to say about it . . .
Imagine you’re a travel writer on assignment aboard a small luxury cruise. Nice. Now imagine you see a woman get thrown overboard and no one believes you. Not so nice. This beach read thriller has sun, suspense, and goes well with SPF.
My Thoughts . . .
Laura Blacklock, known to her family and friends as Lo, is a journalist for the travel magazine, Velocity. She’s invited to spend a week on the luxury cruise ship, the Aurora. During her first night onboard, she witnesses a murder. Problem is, all the ship’s passengers and crewmembers are accounted for. When Lo begins to investigate the murder, the more questions she asks, the more her life is threatened.
In the interest of full disclosure, my mother did not enjoy reading Woman in Cabin 10 as much as I enjoyed listening to it. This British narrator, Imogen Church, is simply charming. She switches back and forth between the different characters with ease. When I researched her other works on Audible, I was not surprise to learn that she’s the narrator for the Bridget Jones Series.
