I’ve been on a reading streak lately, and I’ve read some truly amazing books. If you haven’t already, you’ll definitely want to add Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens to your TBR list. It’s the book everyone’s talking about, and with good reason. Where the Crawdads Sing has earned a place on my all-time favorite’s list. Aspects of the novel—the small town prejudice and the trial—remind me of To Kill a Mockingbird. Owens is a nature expert and I found her description of the marsh fascinating.
I’ve posted some exciting upcoming releases to my TBR 2019 list. I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of Beantown Girls but I included it here to make certain you added it to your list. This historical fiction is scheduled for release on February 5th. I admit, I’m tired of the World War II books, but this one is SO very different, a fresh perspective on a worn-out subject. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.
If you’re still in the mood for holiday romances, one of my other recent favorites is The Christmas Sisters, a charming tale of three sisters reunited at their family home in Scotland.
As always, I’m particularly excited about Elin Hildebrand’s and Dot Frank’s summer releases. And while I didn’t read the Handmaid’s Tale (I’m binge-watching it now), I planned to read the sequel.
What’s on your TBR 2019 list?
