I can hardly tear myself away from the television so stunned am I by last night’s election results. I’ve never been more proud to be an American than I am right now, after listening to Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump deliver their speeches with such grace and dignity.

Things happen for a reason. For months we’ve listen to both sides sling mud at one another in the most divisive presidential campaign this country has ever seen. But the fight has taught us some valuable lessons. At the end of the day, or in this case the election, we all want the same thing: a better America for everyone—all races, all ages, all genders. But, in order to achieve that goal, we have to work together. We must never stop fighting for what we believe in, for what we know is right. Time to reach across the aisle and shake the hands of our opponents. We must stand together and fight together, put an end to the accusations and the name-calling. Whether you voted for him or not, we must give Trump our full support for the sake of the country we love so much.

With that said, I’m stepping down from my soapbox, refocusing my attention on my work in progress. Happy day to you all.
