I love sweet potato pie! Yum…make that every Christmas & Thanksgiving 🙂
I am a sucker for sweet potatoes! Sounds so yummy.
I love spritz cookies for Christmas.
What are spritz cookies? They sound yummy.
The best thing about the holidays is that there are so many foods!! Homemade candy and cookies, pumpkin pie….and my grandmothers’ fruitcake, which I absolutely love!! My mom makes them now and I look forward to it every year!
Seriously? My mother used to make fruit cakes every year and I always turned my nose up at them. I bet I’d love them now. I love anything pumpkin spices. Yum.
My mom hasn’t a recipe for cranberry Apple jello salad that I love. The holidays aren’t complete without it.
I love how that one special recipe signifies the holiday for us.
Sweet potato casserole
OMG. Mine too. My recipe has eggs and sugar and all the things that aren’t good for you. Yours?
Homemade apple pie
My stomach is growling. With a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?
Love peppermint bark
Makes for a great gift!
Lasagna with Homemade Biscuits!
I haven’t had lasagna in so long. One of my favorites.
White Chocolate Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Sauce
Ah, yes. I can’t wait to try this one.
Friutcake, turkey, mince pie
My grandmother used to make mince pie, although I never ate it. I bet I’d like it now. What’re the main ingredients?
It’s not Christmas without fruitcake 🙂
There are a lot of fruitcake lovers around here. Honestly, I don’t see the attraction. Maybe I should have another taste.
My Mom’s sweet potatoes.
Sweet potatoes are a personal favorite.
Sweet potato casserole! It’s like eating your vegetables and dessert, too!
Sounds like my sweet potato casserole recipe. I’d decided not to make it this year, but giving that another think. SOOOOOOO good.
My grandmother’s Divinity….it just isn’t Christmas without it.
Your grandmother’s Divinity? That sounds heavenly. Can I have another clue?
I love dressing!!
I love dressing as well. With sausage and lots of rosemary.
My favorite holiday food is the rolled out Christmas cookies that my daughter Ashley and I make together every year. Oh I’d like some right now with a tall glass of cold milk!
And I love her name. When I was little, we had one of those cookie guns that you could change the disk and make different shapes. I LOVED making sugar cookies with that gun. Thanks for the memory.
Sugar cookies!
I’m getting hungry just thinking about them. Although I could never decorate them as pretty as the magazine pictures.
Stuffing for the turkey!
A little more than a month to go now. Can’t wait for the stuffing.
Cranberry Almond Biscotti
That sounds good. Do you make your own?
Beef tenderloin yum!
The best part of the holidays for me is the beef tenderloin on Christmas Eve. Better yet, the leftovers on Christmas day.
Sweet potato and green bean casserole
All this talk of food is making my stomach rumble. Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
In Germany it’s tradition to bake Advents cookies / tea cakes and you would make between 6 to 12 different recipes.
My favourite recipe is one of my Granny’s little balls of chocolate meringues.
With my elderly mother coming to visit me this year I have planned to make a few of her favourite recipes as I know she will be happy having to passed them on.
That sounds like a lovely tradition but a lot of baking. I’m sure your mother will appreciate your efforts. Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
My favorite holiday food would have to be – the Christmas cookies. I make about 6 different kinds as well as fudge and it is now a long standing tradition. The cookie that my family likes the bed is “oatmeal butterscotch”
Yum. Oatmeal butterscotch sounds delicious. I use to make fudge, but my recipe, which was tried and true by my grandmother, stopped working for me. Or maybe my culinary skills declined. Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
My family makes Christmas Puddinng which is close to a fruit cake but tastes much better
That sounds interest. I love trying new recipes. Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
My Grandmother’s Rocco cookies, she brought the recipe with her from Spain. The tradition continues with her great grand children baking today
Gotta keep the traditions going! Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
It’s a tie between Naomi bars and pumpkin pie!
I’m a sucker for anything pumpkin spiced. Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
I love pumpkin pie and bread pudding! Yummy!
Me too. Wouldn’t it be great if we could combine the two recipes! Thanks for participating in the kickoff party.
